Amazon Blaze

Concept Design / Viral Marketing

The Amazon Blaze was an elaborate prank calling for the design of a believable smart phone with controversial features.

In 2011, pocket sized solar cells and fast colorized e-paper displays were bleeding edge technology, so coming up with the idea for this concept was fairly easy. The challenge was in crafting the believability of the concept, which took real product development, marketing, and evolving Amazon's existing product design language at the time.

Geek Droid

Logo Design / Branding

Geek Droid is a project I created in alignment with my desire to produce content on the Android platform.

It's seemingly a right of passage for Android developers to adobe the Android mascot in some way, so I decided to create the Geek Droid mascot as a completely custom variation in the form of a light bulb with a friendly grin that symbolizes creativity while also being familiar and fun.

RS&H 2011 Holiday Video

Motion Graphics / Concept Development

The RS&H holiday card became a tradition of digital videos delivered via e-mail shortly after I joined the company in 2010.

I was fortunate enough to help produce the previous year's holiday card video, and in 2011 was given free reign on concept and execution. I used this opportunity to craft a message that showcased RS&H's reach while also promoting a people focused approach to marketing that helped inform the companies marketing efforts moving forward.

RS&H Brand Overview

Story Telling / Voice Over / Video Production

Educating 900+ architects, engineers and consultants on the importance of branding is a daunting task, one I took head on in 2014 as an integral member of RS&H's Communication &
Branding department.

When RS&H retired their historic serif logo for a bolder look, it was met with some confusion from staff, so for the next phase in RS&H's rebranding we decided to utilize video as a platform; delivering the companies new image in a way that informed, educated and more importantly, could be replayed.

Tech News Today - Rumor Mill

Motion Graphics / Concept Development

The Rumor Mill was produced in two iterations, a long version and a short bump. The concept for a lone mill, receiving packages from various news sources and churning out rumours was a collaboration between myself, producer Jason Howell and show host Tom Merritt.

I'm a big fan of Tom Merritt's run on Tech News Today, a daily tech news show on the TWiT Network, so when I met him in person at an event in Atlanta, I was thrilled to offer my services as an opportunity to contribute.

Tech News Today - Techlection 2012

Motion Graphics / Concept Development

The visual side of Techlection 2012 was a concept I had free reign to plan and execute, and the audible side was produced by Chris Lane, a fellow TNT contributor.
